Recipes

Bath Bomb recipe

Ingredients

1 cup citric acid

1 cup baking soda

½ cup cornstarch 

½ cup liquid coconut oil or olive oil

mica powder, start with a half teaspoon and gradually add to desired color

Instructions

  1.  In a bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch and oil.
  2. Add 8-10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice
  3. Mix well with spoon till soft dough is formed;  it should have the consistency of damp sand. 

Note:  if the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch till consistency is correct.  

At that point, you may add food coloring, dried herbs or flower petals to the mixture .   Place mixture in silicone molds, Let sit 24 hours before removing from mold.  To use , drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve, 

Note  choose an essential oil to best suit your needs.  For relaxation, try Lavender or doterra serenity.  For a mood boost; try wild orange or citrus Bliss or Peppermint.  

Soothing Soap Recipe

Goats milk or shea butter or mango butter, choose your melt and pour product  

Cut into squares

Heat in a double boiler

Pour your soap into a glass PYREX measuring cup, work quickly 

Add your Mica Powder, and dried herbs if you choose 

Add essential oils when slightly cooled  

Spray soap molds with rubbing alcohol, 

Pour the soap into the mold

Then spray the tops of the soap to prevent bubbles remaining in the soaps 

*After removing the melted soap from the heat; work quickly before the soap cools. 

Herbal Salve Recipe

Instructions

Infuse the oil with chosen herbs prior to making the Salve.  Put 2-3 ounces of dried herb into oil of choice.   Let sit overnight or put in a double boiler for 2 plus hours.  Strain and toss herbs.   

  1. Add 1 oz beeswax 
  2. 1 oz mango butter.
  3. Add 1 cup infused oil to a double boiler.
  4. Heat beeswax gently first till melted, then butter till melted and lastly stir in the oil.
  5. Add essential oils.  
  6. Stir well to combine.
  7. Put into containers and let them sit for all east 4 hours before use.
  8. Wrap and label 

Nourishing skin soother recipe

Sugar scrub

1 cup Brown sugar 

1/2 cup coconut oil 

20-25 drops essential oil to 1 pound soap

1/4 teaspoon -1/2 teaspoon mica powder

Mix all the ingredients and put in containers. Label and gift.
