Mint is a versatile herb that can be enjoyed hot or cold. Its refreshing flavor and cooling properties make it a perfect choice for summer. Mint tea can help soothe digestive issues, alleviate headaches, and even freshen breath.

Lemon Balm: Nature's Calming Agent

Lemon balm is known for its calming and sedative effects. It can help reduce stress, anxiety, and insomnia. Its lemony flavor is pleasant and invigorating.

Sarsaparilla: A Root with Benefits

Sarsaparilla is a root that has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. It is rich in antioxidants and has been associated with various health benefits, including improved digestion, skin health, and energy levels.

Green Tea: A Health Elixir

Green tea is renowned for its health benefits, including boosting metabolism, improving brain function, and reducing the risk of certain diseases. It is rich in antioxidants and has a slightly bitter, grassy flavor.

Black Tea: A Strong and Robust Option

Black tea is a fully oxidized tea with a stronger flavor and higher caffeine content than green tea. It is a popular choice for those who prefer a bolder taste. Black tea is also rich in antioxidants.

White Tea: The Most Delicate Tea

White tea is the least processed type of tea, made from young buds and leaves. It is known for its delicate flavor and high antioxidant content. White tea is believed to have various health benefits, including promoting weight loss and improving skin health.

Rooibus is from Africa and has a a mildly delicious fruity flavor that tens to be poplar among all ages.  This is one of my favorites, along with Lemon Balm which is great to mix together.

How to Make Herbal Infusions

Making herbal infusions is simple. Here's a basic method:

  1. Steep: Add your chosen herbs to hot water and let them steep for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Strain: Remove the herbs from the water using a strainer or tea infuser.
  3. Sweeten (optional): Add honey, agave nectar, or a natural sweetener to taste.
  4. Enjoy: Serve hot or cold, depending on your preference.

Experiment and Find Your Favorites

The possibilities are endless when it comes to herbal infusions. Experiment with different herbs and combinations to find your favorites. You can add fruits, spices, or citrus zest for added flavor. Herbal infusions are a delicious and healthy way to hydrate and enjoy the benefits of nature's bounty.  I have included links in the name of each herb so that you can easily find the one' that I have purchased and enjoyed throughout the years.
